Re: Mardi Gras, Austin-style. The SCH pastry team is back again with seasonal magic: King Cake has arrived in the Mañana pastry case! This fave festive treat is made with a buttery brioche dough filled with red berry jam + sweet cream cheese filling and topped with rich royal icing and homemade colored sugar.
The chef recommends to try it warmed — available by the slice every weekend ‘til sold out — or treat yourself to a whole cake (baby figurine included for good luck!), available for pre-order for your own celebrations. Place your order online by Thursday at 5pm for pickup the following Saturday - now through February 14.
