Austin's favorite street meets Austin's favorite party. First Thursdays at South Congress Hotel is our signature monthly event that features a live performance by an up-and-coming local act, DJs throughout our spaces, drink specials, pop-up activations and more.
This Austin tradition runs deep: on the first Thursday of every month, businesses along South Congress Avenue historically kept their doors open late and banded together to celebrate the essence of Austin — a celebration of local music, art and culture. Since we opened in September 2015, we've kept the festivities going and highlighted what makes our city special. We're proud that Austin's local music community has been represented on our stage with bands like The Black Pumas, CAPYAC, and The Peterson Brothers all joining the First Thursday lineup.
It's our last First Thursday of the year, y'all! 🎉 Come to the biggest block party in town this week with live performances by @bubba_lucky + @_the.opera and DJ sets by @king_louie + @soyellaella + @ashmar.ca + @jordanlanepierce throughout the hotel.
In the szn of giving, we’re partying for a good cause with @caritasofaustin and collecting food donation items to help their mission of supporting our neighbors in the Greater Austin community transition out of homelessness and into stability. Roll up to SCH with 3 canned goods/food items this Thursday and we’ll exchange them for a free drink ticket, on us. See the list below for our most-wanted items!
