Austin's favorite street meets Austin's favorite party. First Thursdays at South Congress Hotel is our signature monthly event that features a live performance by an up-and-coming local act, DJs throughout our spaces, drink specials, pop-up activations and more.
This Austin tradition runs deep: on the first Thursday of every month, businesses along South Congress Avenue historically kept their doors open late and banded together to celebrate the essence of Austin — a celebration of local music, art and culture. Since we opened in September 2015, we've kept the festivities going and highlighted what makes our city special. We're proud that Austin's local music community has been represented on our stage with bands like The Black Pumas, CAPYAC, and The Peterson Brothers all joining the First Thursday lineup.
First Thursday forever! Come to the biggest block party in town on August 1st from 6p-11p with live performances by The Irons + Mid-Range Jumper and DJ sets by King Louie + Orya + DJ Bad Apple + Jordan Pierce throughout the hotel.
